Water Department


The City of Cassville has 43.97 miles of water main lines. We have six wells that feed out distribution system. Four wells pump 400 GPM, one pumps 500 GPM, with Well 4 (Wal-Mart) producing 700 GPM.
We have five water towers; four hold 150,000 gallons of water and one that holds 750,000 gallons that provides Cassville with 1,350,000 total gallons of storage capacity.

All of our water is treated with chlorine and is tested daily to ensure we meet all of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources requirements for clean safe drinking water. The Public Works Department travels 11.23 miles between well locations to complete the daily testing. We have 1759 meters that we manage with 325 fire hydrants that we support. In 2010 we pumped 191,394,000 gallons of water, and in 2011 we pumped 183,819,000, with our 2012 pumping at 174,151,700.

Every Community Water System is required by law to provide customers with an annual water quality report also known as a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). Collection Department (Sewer)

manholeThe City of Cassville has 161,204 ft. (30.53 miles) of gravity sewer lines, with 537 manholes, 85% were constructed using brick, and we have one lift station.  We have 953 feet of forced main. We clean and service the entire system throughout the year. We have an Aries Camera System, which provides us a view into the collection system allowing us to pinpoint problem areas in need of maintenance or repair.

Waste Water Treatment Plant

100 1202In 2010 our plant flows as 333,896,000 gallons to our facility and 242,810,000 gallons in 2011 and 197,114,000 in 2012.  The plant has a daily hydraulic capacity of 2.1 million gallons of wastewater per day.  Our lagoon size is 18.2 acres.
We have 32 different pumps 42 motors and 4 Clarifiers each running 24 X 7
